Unix Infrastructure Engineer
Summary:
The UNIX/LINIX infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the development of technical specifications through analysis of functional and business requirements, coordinating the high and low level design effort on projects, providing guidance and mentoring on technical issues, helping to define and document development standards and providing engineering oversight on projects to ensure that systems conform to all CVSHealth™ architectural standards. The infrastructure architect:
·         Excellent verbal communication skills
·         Strong interpersonal skills
·         Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines required
·         Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment pertaining to operating procedures and projects
·         Is a technical expert contributor in infrastructure, systems engineering and operations.
·         Acts independently with little direction supporting the system engineering, hosting and system services, networking, application development, and PMO teams.
·         Performs the necessary coordination, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development of an enterprise technical architecture.
·         The technical architect will assume the primary responsibility and ownership for all enterprise technology architectures. This includes creating optimum technical solutions, meeting / exceeding requirements, ensuring system security, quality, robust performance, and flexibility for future change.

Qualifications:
·         8+ years experience and working knowledge of enterprise-wide Linux/Unix (RHEL. AIX and Solaris) infrastructure architecture and engineering.
·         5+ years experience in VMware.
