Job Description

 

 

The only caveat is that they must have been in the US for 3 of the last 5 years for government contract reasons (they are a private company but do a lot of government contracts.)

The primary job responsibilities for this position include the  development, unit/integration test and deployment of Java-based web applications. The individual will be expected to follow defined programming standards that include the use of Java, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, web-services, and SalesForce.  The development teams follow the Incremental software development methodology and knowledge of Agile software development practices is desired.  The candidate will be expected to develop an understanding of existing processes and work with technical lead or Senior developers.

 

 Essential Skills:

 

* Good knowledge of SDLC, and various methodologies

* 3+ SalesForce development experience nice to have

* 4+ years of software development experience

* 4+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Oracle

* 4+ years development experience using Java Script, HTML, XML, XSLT, XSD and CSS (Must have skills).

* Experience in Webwork, Hibernate, Spring is preferred

* Strong database experience working with Oracle or other RDBMS

* Skilled at developing applications using object oriented design principles.

* Experience implementing J2EE design patterns.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

* Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

* Able to work collaboratively in a dynamic teaming environment.

* Experience developing against multiple code bases concurrently

* Experience with 508 Compliance

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

* Bachelor's Degree in an associated discipline and a 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

Desired skills:

 

Configuration Management Tools (PVCS, Subversion)

Knowledge/experience in formal SDLC methodology

Experience with CMMI Level 3 or higher
