Re: [MTC Global] my article

Prof Vijendra
You can access my article titled "Will Technology make Human Jobs Obsolete'
by clicking the below link
:

While it's a fact that few jobs require physical strength,we can always find areas where the seniors
can contribute .
Given the fact that all other resources are equally available, accessible and affordable to all the players
and human resource alone creates, communicates and delivers value by combining all other factors of production,
we can't afford to leave the much valued senior citizens from enriching this great karmabhoomi.

Dear Reddy Sir,
I could not access the article. However, I agree with Dr. Virendra Goel Sir. Active retirement welcomes death faster than the other way. But active re
retirement is required in some work places, where the task involves physical laboring and dexterity like driving, machine jobs, etc. Certain jobs, which are more of intellectual, people can work for more than retirement age. In educational sector, the retired people can work as mentors and advisors.  They have to avoid too much of stress jobs. They need to have active social life to be healthy and happy.

I think concept of retirement itself is against the basic concept of life. Every individual needs activities to occupy his/her 24 hours of the day. Further knowledge acquired after hard work and experience are the wealth of the country in the hands of individuals. If we let them lie dormant, they become rusted and eventually they convert into ash. Any problem , any issue related to senior citizens or retirement age or related issues of retirement , unless looked into with above factors in mind, it is bound to become counter-productive.

Dear Dr Reddy -garu
Congrats for the article, sublime to read and informative . You have mentioned IT has made great advances possible and has automated tasks with low added value for humans, such as manufacturing and data entry. It also has enabled previously unknown levels of efficiency and optimization, with systems that are able to continuously lean how to improve themselves. But humans are still a very essential part of the process and play a very important role in addressing new issues, solving them the first time they appear and then consolidating the process into the system.
But in our country I feel retired persons are being re-employed in huge number in all the Govt.offices (and our Institute is classic example in this regard) by depriving youths. Honestly speaking such practice must be stopped, meaning wholesale basis retired persons should not be given job.  Y'day the Hindu newspaper has brought out a writing in this regard quoting Govt. source.
Regards
