Location : Middle River, MD

Duration :  6-12+ Months

 

Mode of interview: Phone  & skype

Duration of contract: 6 months to 1 year +

 

 

I do have an immediate need for the following:– Baltimore County Public Schools – Middle River, MD – 6 months to 1 year +

 

This DBA will be expected to move the data warehouse from SQL 2008R2 to SQL 2014.

 

The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

 

Required Skills:

           

Experience in Performance Tuning, Backup and Recovery, Query Optimization and Security.

Experience in Upgrade/Migration of MS SQL Server 2008R2 to MSSQL Server 2014

Experience in T-SQL, stored procedures, tables, views, functions, triggers and indexes

Experience in creating and maintaining ETL routines as well as assisting with reporting needs

Experience with developing and maintaining complex SSIS, SSRS and SSAS Packages

Acted as a production and development DBA

Experience in Performance Monitor/Profiler

Experience in creating standard documentation for technical documentations

SQL Server login, database users, assigning permissions, moving security between servers

Hands on experience and knowledge on high availability SQL Server solutions, Replication and LogShipping

Hands on experience with Powershell scripts

Any of these certifications below is a must:

(MCP) Microsoft Certified Professional on Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases

MCITP - (Microsoft Certified IT Professional - Database Administration: 2008)

 

Desired Skills:

 

Experience with star-schema data warehousing architecture model
