Role: OSCAP Developer 

Location: Sunnyvale, California 

Duration: 1 Year

Exp Level: 3 - 5 years 

OVAL (Open Vulnerability and Assessment Language).

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills 

• 2+ years of experience in creating OVAL (Open Vulnerability and Assessment Language).
  
• 2+ years of experience in creating XCCDF (eXtensible  Configuration Checklist Description Format).
  
• 2+ years of experience in writing OVAL definitions that are compatible with the OpenSCAP tool.
  
• 2+ years of experience in working with SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol)  
  
• Solid understanding of OVAL (Open Vulnerability and Assessment Language) and XCCDF. 
  
• Good understanding of XML (Read and understand XML documents, Read and understand XML schema , Operate command line XML schema validation tools and/or possess an integration development environment for XML)
  
• Good understanding of and ability to write XPath and regular expressions.
  
• Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  
• Experience  in using SCAP tools like OpenScap to test authenticated system compliance.
  
• Good understanding of Linux and Unix environments. 
  
• Working experience with Git. 

Roles and responsibilities

• Creating custom SCAP content for system security compliance using XML, eSCAPe.
  
• Converting CIS-provided SCAP content to OpenSCAP-compatible.
  
• Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks.
  
• Good written and oral communication.   
  
• Work with different teams.
  
• Evaluate new Business Intelligence technologies, features, and products.
