Re: [MTC Global] My Article on Namo

Dear All,
NaMo's approach has shown dynamism and resilience at its best.
Election campaigns take lot of his time, to be very frank.
Cheers,

Dear Sir, I believe, that we in a democratic society will attain progress only when there
is a certain level of continuity in the policies from one dispensation to the next. We
find this in all mature democracies. The actual implementation of a policy may differ but
the policy itself cannot be completely scrapped with nothing else in its place.
Mercifully, we find this continuity in some policies and we have made progress in those
areas. The GST regime was agreed upon by both the national parties but has not been
implemented. We would definitely reap its benefits when it is implemented.
Aadhar is another example, the UPA Govt had originally conceived it to help the BPL
families gain access to Govt services. It was implemented in a half hearted manner, but
the present Govt accelerated the use of Aaadhar card to enable launch the Jan Dhan
Yojana. This has facilitated direct money transfers to the beneficiaries.

Likewise one sees a greater application of technology in railway operations and also the
use of the station premises to generate additional revenue sources for the railways.
Unless this trend is continued in the next regime, there will be no progress over time.
The UPA govt claimed originality in conceiving these initiatives, now the NDA Govt can
rightly claim credit for its speedy implementation.
Best regards,
