Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 6 month project with probably extension

 

Only GC or USC

 

Job Description 

Knowledge and skills:  Proficient with a broad range of Java, J2EE technologies including Spring framework, JSF, Spring webflow, Hibernate, Maven, Weblogic . Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL is required.

Experience: Angular JS is plus. The ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies while considering the business needs and direction.

 

·         Analyzes problems in terms of detailed requirements. Designs detailed flow charts.

·         Verifies program logic by preparing tests data for trial runs. Tests and debugs programs. 

·         Prepares run sheets for routine programs. 

·         May also do coding from flow charts, assist in determining the causes of computer or program malfunctions, and confer with technical personnel in systems analysis and application planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Develops, tests and maintains code using software development methodology and appropriate technologies for the system being used.

·         Works closely with Business Analysts or System Analyst to develop detail systems design and written test plans for on-line and report application programs.

·         Performs analysis on projects and provides a project plan that shows the tasks needing to be completed and a time estimate for each task.

·         Provides status reports that give a detailed description of the current projects progress and indicates time devoted to each task of the project.

·         Participates in design walk-throughs with appropriate focus groups and related users to verify accuracy of design in meeting business needs.

·         Analyze and create technical designs which will meet user's needs (Includes all product output)

·         Act as first or second line of support for applications produced by functional area.

·         Help design plans for implementation of the end product.
