Quality Assurance Engineer

This person will be  building automation infrastructure that increases confidence in the software and adds to the team's overall velocity while driving to release. 

The ideal candidate will have good Python programming skills and knowledge of Windows automation.

Position:

This position will be responsible for the design, development, and automation of our Windows endpoint product. They will be leveraging existing automation frameworks using PyTest. 

The products provide ecommerce, storage services and backup on a very large scale, and store billions of user files and many petabytes worth of data.

This person will  have an opportunity to be involved in all phases of testing focusing on Endpoint product. This will include being involved from initial requirements, through designing, automating,. You should have a desire to contribute to our overall test automation strategy and help us as we continue to grow. 

Skills, Experience and Characteristics

·         B.S. in Computer Science or similar.

·         At least 4+ years of software test automation experience.

·         Python experience (3.x preferred).

·         Automated testing and best practices with python (PEP8).

·         Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment.

·         A very strong team/collaborative work ethic.

·         An openness to say "I don't know," a willingness to learn from mistakes, and an active, demonstrable curiosity about the newest technologies and practices.

·         A demonstrated talent for designing and implementing automated tests.

Nice to haves:

·         Exposure to Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and/or similar tools.

·         Experience with Windows COM.

·         Experience with SQL.

·         Automated UI testing experience.
