Location(s): Will travel to project location at major East Coast city initially, but needs to be flexible for travel to up to 50% to any U.S. location.
On Travel weeks, usually will be Mon-Thursday on-site.
***Travel expenses reimbursable (air, rental car/ground transport, hotel, meals).
Initial project involves travel to East Coast location, but need to be flexible for national travel to percentage required.
Requirements:

IT - 9+ years
Java/J2EE - 9+ years
WebSphere Commerce (WCS) Development & Integration - 6+ years
WebSphere Commerce (WCS) Architecture - 3+ years
• 3+ years of current/ recent experience designing/ Architecting Websphere Commerce solutions on v6/v7
• 5+ years of current experience Architecting and designing custom application development solutions for customers
• 3+ years of current Object Oriented technology experience (Java, C++, etc)
• Must have experience with SOLR
• Full Software Development Life Cycle Methodology experience as well as experience with other formal SW Development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, RAD, etc)
• 3+ years of recent experience as a lead Architect on complex custom software development projects (you must really know your stuff!)
• Up to 50% travel , ability to travel to customer sites as needed
• Exceptional customer facing and communications skills (written and verbal)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Job Description:
• Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
• Work with application developers, users, operational leadership, and subject matter experts to aunderstand current and future operational data analysis goals. Recommend modern technology stacks to meet those goals and help engineering teams migrate towards their use.
• Collaborate with the customer's operations and technology leadership on the future analytic goals of the organization, and design a technical architecture to meet those goals. Participate in configuring the architecture, and advise engineering teams on its efficient use.
• Lead a work stream or act as a team lead and manage non-complex components of the work plan/project.
• Utilize analytical, process, and/or technical skills to meet project objectives and deliverables that are self-directed and within project scope.
