Job Title: Java Solutions Architect
Location: Irving,TX
Duration: 6 Months(Onsite)(Contract)

Job Description:
The Solutions Architect analyzes, designs, develops, tests and implements new application reusable components, and maintains and optimizes already deployed Enterprise applications. This includes active participation and adherence to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle and architecture reviews.
Essential Functions:
Leads in defining, documenting and developing software solutions [POC], as well as contributes to architecture and technical design discussions, design reviews and technical design/specifications in collaboration with the project team.
Designs and develops software applications according to specifications and the standards of enterprise architecture and principles.
Contributes to the review and analysis of business requirements and JAD sessions to perform GAP analysis.
Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation
Develops, monitors, and tracks the progress of an action plan
Creates thorough, professional quality design documentation and technical specifications using UML and TOGAF [The Open Group Architecture Framework specification]
Provides reasonable work estimates and communicates deviations from estimates or work product in advance of the deadline.
Evaluates software change requests, determines business need or conducts root cause analysis, and implements technically efficient solutions
Keeps current on emerging software technology and make recommendations
Leads technical direction for the team members.
Mentors peers and other team members, and participates in and promotes a knowledge-sharing environment.
Ability to take on multiple assignments; own one or more modules of the project under development
Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond the scope of influence and report same to the reporting manager
On-call availability for after hours, as needed · Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines
Read and abide by the company's code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University
10 or more years' experience in designing and developing enterprise level applications using J2EE and SOA
3 or more years' experience with architecture frameworks and tools
Extensive experience in enterprise application development in the J2EE, JBoss, framework including mobile application design
Experience designing and developing J2EE based N-tier highly scalable web applications
XML/XSL, Web Services, SOA architecture, ESB, WCF, Team foundation server, SQL Server,
Experience applying Design Patterns J2EE and Gang of Four.
Extensive experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Solid background in Designing & Implementing Applications using technologies defined by the Standard Enterprise Architecture
Strong experience in analyzing and optimizing already deployed applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge and hands on experience designing and developing objects and components of relational databases and ORM.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Maintain an understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
Working knowledge of Laboratory Information System is a plus.
Healthcare Industry is a plus.
