Environment

 

The primary role of this position is to test web based and client server financial applications. You will have a proven record in functional, integration, system, regression, automation, upgrade/patch, installation, performance testing.  This will range from client reporting requests to system upgrades. This position involves regular interaction with business analysts, client services, and development teams located all across the globe.  The candidate will be required to learn all aspects of the business.

 

Missions

 

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
• ISTQB/CSTE or any relevant internationally recognized software testing certification
• Software testing professional with 5 years' experience in testing financial / capital market software applications.
• Should be able to write SQL queries required for data validation testing
• Experience with test management/defect management tools such as Atlassian JIRA etc.
• Experienced in Java programming with good knowledge of OOPS concepts
• Should be able to understand and customize existing test automation framework
• Should be able to create automated test scripts independently
• Effective analytical abilities, high ethical standards, strong interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, well organized and detailed oriented, quick learner are desirable qualities.

 

Profile 

• Writing test cases from scratch with/without much product documentation to address areas such as functional testing, regression testing, error or bug retests, or usability
• Execution of Manual and Automated test cases with an emphasis on high risk deliverables/requirements
• Defect logging in timely manner and tracking them till closure ensuring that any inadequacies in the product, the process or the standards are brought to attention early with suggested improvements
• Writing new manual and automated test scripts for new features and enhancements added
• Daily test co-ordination, participate and communicate openly in project related meetings with the analysts and development teams including in post-production defect review  meetings
• Conduct Pre-production/Post-production release testing and test hot fixes or critical patches.
