Position: AIX Resource

Location: Newark, NJ

JOB DESCRIPTION  This individual should have at least 3 years of experience specifically with POWERVM technologies and/or HA and/or performance tuning.  Particularly, this individual should have been involved in setting up a system from scratch with DUAL VIOS configuration with NPIV based storage access for the Client LPARs and shared ethernet adapter for network access to multiple VLANs. The ability to satisfy requirements for, and test Live Partition Mobility is a plus.  For the HA skills to count, the individual should have had experience in setting up HA in fully virtualized environments, and have personally designed and built clusters of up to 3 servers in a cluster containing multiple resource groups. Troubleshooting abilities is a must For the performance tuning aspect, the individual should have had experience with tuning AIX for Networker, tuning experience in a highly virtualized environment (multi shared processor pools, with all IO virtualized), and preferably have experience with tuning AIX for other apps as well just as Oracle, DB2 and sybase. Experience with working with these technologies in an EMC environment is a plus
