Job Title: Healthcare Economics Consultant
What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment?
1. Production of monthly datasets/reports
2. Ad-hoc research and analysis
3. UAT of new and current data
4. Updating current programs
5. New program development
All of the above projects provide the backbone of many of the products and services we deliver to our clients. Will be working as part of the Informatics Medicare Development team - assisting with PAF deployment, monthly report production, increased ad-hoc research projects and maintenance of monthly programs
Top Responsibilities:
1. Modify existing programs to meet new specifications
2. New program development
3. Produce monthly reports and datasets for internal and external distribution
4. Analyze healthcare utilization data
5. Ad-hoc research and analysis projects
Software tools/skills needed to perform these daily responsibilities:
1. SAS programming
2. Excel
What skills/attributes are a must have?
1. Strong SAS programming
2. Strong critical thinking/analytical
3. Independent self-starter
What skills/attributes are nice to have?
1. Strong technical skills – Proficient with the MS Office products, some MS Access, someone who can quickly get up to speed on new applications with minimal training. Can quickly understand data flows and data structure.
2. Advanced Excel
3. Prior claims analysis experience would be preferred
