Position: Network Security Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 6 + months

 

The candidate will be the liaison between HD and Cisco, working on the HD SECOPS team.  Cisco CMS should be handling the day to day operations of the issues in the environment.  What we need is a person on the HD side to filter and track the requests.  They should be able to identify and work with Cisco to resolution.  Experience with dot1x configuration on switches, network troubleshooting, and wired/wireless experience including posture assessment is a plus. Experience with the Cisco Any Connect client is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

·         Enterprise-level Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting.

·         Troubleshooting Routing/Switching, wireless LAN controllers, VMware and VPN issues.

·         Onsite and remote troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3.

·         Routing/switching (Cisco) installation and configuration.

·         Following ServiceNow tickets to closure.

 

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or associated discipline; or an additional 4 years of work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.

·         Minimum of 5 years of networking experience

·         Experience with Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting.

·         Experience troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3

·         US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card Holder) is required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

·         Bachelor's degree, CCNA, and CCNP

·         Dot1x with certificates on switches, Cisco AnyConnect

·         Firewall experience, preferably with Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, or PaloAlto
