Position                UX web Designer

Location               Irving,TX

Duration              9 Months

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

•             WEB & MOBILE UX/UI DESIGN 

o             Design custom web experiences across various devices for customer account and security system management

o             Provide creative solutions while working within the limits of branding/style guidelines

o             Work from wireframes to create user centric interactions

o             Participate in UX/Conversion focused brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and opinions

o             Keep up-to-date on web and mobile trends, limitations, conventions and developments

o             Work closely with product management and design team to ensure success under brand design guidelines.

o             Evolve understanding of conversion testing strategy and implementation 

o             Nice, clean "keep it simple" aesthetic

•             TEAM INTERACTION

o             Work with other designers and strategists to deliver outstanding quality work in a collaborative

o             Ability to work with development teams, near shore, off shore, and co-located

o             Ability to adjust designs in order to meet timelines or technical demands

•             PROJECT/ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

o             Manage the creation, quality, consistency and on-time delivery of all assigned deliverables

o             Work autonomously when necessary to meet personal deadlines and goals

o             Contribute to evolving and enhancing the products and processes of the department

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

•             At least 2 years digital production and creative experience (online portfolio required for review)

•             Understanding of web design and development principles

•             Technical

o             Excellent proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, etc.)

o             Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery

o             Must understand web technologies and the appropriate usage of each

o             Experience troubles hooting cross-browser and cross-device issues

•             Experience and comfort using wireframes as an input for page design

•             Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•             Desire to learn the science behind why designs are successful or not

•             Strong organization and time management skills

•             Must be a detail oriented problem solver

•             Able to work independently within a collaborative team environment

•             Strong understanding of user interface design patters including menus, forms and graphics.

 

Bonus Qualifications:

•             Experience working in a Scrum environment

•             Experience presenting ideas and concepts to clients

•             Experience with web analytics

•             Experience with responsive and/or adaptive design

•             Experience building JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX applications
