Re: [MTC Global] TEN SKILLS FOR THE FUTURE WORKFORCE 2020

Dear All,
Some more aspects may have to be considered, in my opinion, to confirm culture-compatibility of future workforce:
  • agility,
  • mission and value alignment,
  • performance focus,
  • ownership of responsibility,

Warm regards,

Re: [MTC Global] The game of leadership

Dear All,

I will like to share some sources for Leadership lessons.

Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam a well known scientist and great President of India  was also a true leader for Igniting mind of youth . He has divided his book in four part from which last and most important part is about leadership.

As Written by Him: Some qualities of leader are (which I remember are) :

Truthfulness
Fearless
Giving Credit to other in case of success and taking failure on-self.
Knowledge
Selfless service
Getting Co operation from others etc.

Will like to thanks All for Sharing  Ideas and developing this types of Platform....

I think leadership is a cluster of games. One skill for a game doesn't workout always and many skills for many games are required. Leadership types too doesn't work in all times. We can't be autocratic all the time because we deal with human who are emotional and sensitive, we can't be democratic always because we deal with humans who may misuse the delegation of power, we can't always be participative because we deal deal with humans who may take us for granted and may misuse us, we can't be transformational always because not all humans learn unlearn and relearn.

So the point is, a leader should know all games and skills required to win the game based on the situation and people he or she meets. Leader must be an all rounder or at least he must know who is good in his team and at what level to be utilised as a game changer.

Re: [MTC Global] New definitions

Yes.  The assumption/notion is as good or bad and scientific or unscientific as:

a) the assumptions/notions of a dark room, a black cat (present or absent), an observer (with normal physical capabilities or otherwise) and a flashlight (working or not working), and

b) the notions of philosophy, metaphysics and theology presented in the quotes.

Thanks.

Look at the statement ".......using a flash-light without any power......."
Is the assumption that flash-light without power right? Scientific?

Flash-light has its own power/energy of enlightenment, unfolding the hidden, etc.

I couldn't hold back:

Science (as is being practiced) is like being in a dark room and looking for a black cat using a flashlight without any power whatsoever, and with hands tied in the back and blindfolds on, and accidentally treading on poop instead, and inferring that the cat must have been present based on the "scent" of the poop as well as a "lick" sample of the same.  Of course, publishing a paper in a reputed journal that follows a policy of double-blind refereeing is a natural consequence of the poop-investigator interaction, with our person-of-interest eventually joining the Editorial Board of the same journal.

Enough for now.  Have fun!  Cheers!

Employees at Trump's California golf course say he wanted to fire women who weren't pretty enough

Los Angeles Times | September 29, 2016 | 8:04 AM
When Donald Trump would visit his golf club in Rancho Palos Verdes, some employees say, managers were under pressure to put the staff's most attractive women on duty. According to a sworn declaration in a labor lawsuit, when Trump saw restaurant hostesses who he felt were "not pretty enough," he wanted them fired. A Trump Organization attorney called the allegations "meritless."
