Position: Application Developer
Location: Tampa Florida for PwC
Duration: 12+ months (will most likely go 2 years)
We require USC/GC for this role.
This role demands a great deal of self-motivation and the ability to take ownership on applications. It's an IT Operations role within a very fast paced team.
Day to day efforts include operational management of a number of custom built .NET Applications. The individual will be part of a tier 3 support team, which is responsible for:
3rd tier tickets, which are outside of the 1st & 2nd tier support capabilities.
The individual will work together with the users and development teams when needed to provide resolution to these issues.
Deployments of new versions of the applications into Production & Staging environments.
Managing the daily health of the applications and reporting on such data when required.
Interacting with IT Ops teams across the globe as an Expert on the applications and assisting as needed.
· On-Call, ticket queue monitoring, off hours changes, etc. is to be expected.
· A solid understanding of IIS/SQL/Webservices is required.
· Understanding of Windows Server 2008/2012 is required.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to intelligently sort out an issue is required.
· Experience managing full-lifecycle enterprise level applications is desired (QA -> Staging -> Production).
· Development experience is not required, however it may help with some of the expertise needed.
· 5 Years of extensive application management or development experience is required.
· Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BS, BA) or 5 years IT experience is required.
· Ability to manage multiple conflicting deadlines and competing priorities.
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the team and throughout the firm.
This individual will perform advanced troubleshooting across a number of multi-tiered applications, and will need to be able to identify the area of fault (code, environment, or configuration) and guide the appropriate team in constructing and implementing the fix. Will be responsible for delivering technical diagnosis and solution prescription within his/her specific technology expertise and assigned applications. The individual will be able to to diagnose and troubleshoot complex application problems and leverage tools and resources appropriately to identify solutions that may or may not be already documented.
