Position : Full stack Java developer
Location : Tampa, FL
Interview : Telephonic and then F2F
Duration : 3-6 months
Must haves:
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of Node.js
- Experience with MongoDB
- Experience building web applications that allow highly responsive, mouse-driven interaction with users (e.g. drawing, 3D modelling)
- Experience building web applications (both front and back end) requiring high rates of data transfer to the client and associated caching strategies
- Solid foundation in software design principles
- Experience with automated unit and end-to-end testing frameworks
- Experience with user authentication between multiple systems and servers
- Experience designing and using RESTful APIs
- Experience with Meteor
Plus:
- Familiarity with Leaflet and/or OpenSeadragon
Qualifications:
· B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
· 5-8 years of experience in full stack development
- Strong communication skills and problem solving abilities
- Familiarity with software development processes and software quality concepts
Day to Day/Overview of the role
· looking for an experienced full stack web developer to create a web-based histology image viewer and annotation tool.
· developing complex medical software to aid doctors in the analysis of digitized histopathology. To support algorithm development and evaluation, we perform studies with expert pathologists from around the country who need to interact with our large and growing database of histology images. The image viewer and annotation tool they interact with will be highly responsive, reliable, and scalable. It will include a framework for walking the users through successive steps in the tasks required for various studies.
