Position:  Sr. J2EE Web Service Developer

 

Term: 10+ months contract

 

Location: Portland, OR

 

We require Local or nearby for this role.

 

 

Required Skills:

- J2EE (Java 7 or 8, REST Services, Jersey, Dropwizard)

- Data Administration (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)

- Eclipse (Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA IDE)

- JavaScript (JavaScript Fundamentals, Frameworks - JQuery, AngularJS)

- Hardware/OS/Sys Admin (Linux)

 

Qualifying Questions:

- Total relevant work experience in Java platform development should be 7 years or more

- Should have worked extensively on developing REST web services

- Should have hands on development experience with popular Java IDE like Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA

- Should have hands on experience with working on Linux development machines or Virtual Machines

- Should have hands on experience with GIT and Maven 

- Should have relevant work experience in building front end applications using JavaScript and HTML UI frameworks

 

Description Of Services:

- Java developer with relevant work experience of 7+ years and ability to quickly adapt to fast paced Agile development project. Must possess excellent communication skills and must be a quick learner with organized problem solving and troubleshooting skills. 

- Subject matter expertise in Web UI development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JavaScript APIs/ frameworks - specifically JQuery and Angular JS. Must have excellent troubleshooting skills with Chrome Developer toolbar, including but not limited to debugging, profiling.

- Extensive experience with JavaScript build, and packaging tools - specifically Grunt, Bower

- Extensive experience with Linux based development environments - specifically Cent OS, Oracle Virtual Box VM running Cent OS       on Windows

   - Extensive experience with Java IDEs specifically IntelliJ IDEA

   - Extensive experience with GIT and GIT based tools - specifically Atlassian Stash, GIT command line 

- Deep expertise with building REST services with Jersey API/ Dropwizard 

- Good understanding of MongoDB, PostgreSQL  

- Good understanding of code analysers for Test driven development  

- Experience with working in short sprints in an aggresive fast paced Agile SCRUM team  

- Ability to work in co-development client teams with fast paced/ time-to-market deadlines  

- Good understanding of Continuous delivery and continuous integration (CI/ CD) - tools and services - specifically Jenkins, Docker, Amazon Elastic Beanstalk

 

Deliverables:

- Deliver user stories by designing and implementing them in an Agile software development model
