Required Skills:
· Completes workflow analysis, and requirements and gap assessments for departments and applications in areas of assigned responsibility.
· Coordinates and participates in the planning activities, policy formulation, and procedural development relating to area of responsibility.
· Under general direction, code applications using one or more of the following coding tools; Java, J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, XML, DHMTL, SQL, PHP. Exhibits proficiency of assigned developers toolkit. Keeps up with latest information and patches related to the tools assigned.
· Demonstrates thorough knowledge of assigned applications and/or systems. Works with appropriate technical resources to load, troubleshoot and maintains system applications.
· Reviews existing systems and recommends steps and techniques for improving operation and efficiency.
· Prepares appropriate documentation for assigned area of responsibility. Keeps documentation current and reviews annually. Maintain application contingency plan documentation for assigned areas, ensuring the plan is updated and tested at least once annually.
Job Description:
· Under general direction, this position is responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems development. This developer analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. This position consults with clinical business application analysts, system and network engineers and other technical staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements of the overall system. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.
