Dear Sir, The TV journalist and comperes work in an environment very much like the
creative artists. They earn a lot and their work is entirely personality driven. If Arnab
left a stamp on his show,this show will not remain the same. The huge following of his
show will definitely melt away.
The show with a different compere will have to begin all over again; build its
constituency and perhaps taste even better success.
What is true of back end operations will not hold for the front end. There are umpteen
such examples.
Music Directors such as OP Nayyar of yore who differed with Lata Mangeshkar had to begin
anew and it was never the same again.

is well accepted.We can never write off a person for reasons we perceive. Amitabh
Bachchan - the great Bollywood Superstar & Legend, got rejected by AIR for his nasal
voice which they felt wasn't suitable for Reporter, but he used this weakness to gain
stardom in Hindi films.It all depends on the person, how he shakes off the weakness he is
accused of in the corporate and rises to establish himself turning the weakness into

Bottom Line: 1. Never allow any one person to become bigger than the company – because if
s/he leaves the company fates then the fate of the company hangs in balance.
2. Prudent company always make sure that every body is dispensable – this ensure that no
one person is in a position to blackmail the company.
3. A prudent company always de-risks its business by spreading its bets across
people/products to ensure that demise of a person or a brand does not bring the company
to its knees!
