Re: [MTC Global] [Weekend Big Discussion-1] Business School Should Teach These Subjects

Sir, The lack of general knowledge among the students leads to poor appreciation of the
context of an important management decision. General knowledge is a complex combination
of the subjects mentioned by Goel Sir. In addition, there is a need to have History and
because of globalization even that of Geography. I think that the path of inculcating a
love for General knowledge starts in the school and continues thru and even beyond the
MBA. One of its important benefits is also to foster critical thinking.
There is also the problem of developing sensitivity and better understanding of our own
country. This can be fostered by exchange programs between far flung partner colleges of
India.
Cheers,
K.Paranjpe

Subject: [MTC Global] [Weekend Big Discussion-1] Business School Should Teach These

can prepare them to successfully lead organizations in an increasingly complex and
continuously changing world.

What subjects should business schools be teaching on top of what they already offer
today?Request Views...EDUCATE, EMPOWER, ELEVATEProf. Bholanath DuttaFounder &
