Senior UX/UI Specialist

 

4-6 month contract (potential contract-to-hire)

 

Location: On-site Manchester, NH

 

The Senior UI/UX Specialist is responsible for evaluating new and existing web based initiatives including conversion, usability, visual design, information-architecture and branding. The UI/UX Specialist spearheads all front-end designs and leads optimization efforts for the business. Recommends and sets up A/B test options to drive increased user experience and follow through.

 

CREATIVE: Creates wireframes, storyboards, mockups, user flows, process flows and site maps that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas to internal stakeholders and end-users alike.

 

DEVELOPMENT: Develops simple and intuitive websites, microsites & landing pages that effectively communicate the benefits of our brand offerings and can successfully funnel conversions.

 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND SALES SUPPORT: Engages with Business Development/Sales to produce ongoing, interactive presentations using tools such as InVision, Prezi, and Axure that demonstrate our ready-to-use system integration platform for retailers within kiosk, point-of-sale, and eCommerce environments.

 

SME/BEST PRACTICES UTILIZATION: Establishes and champions UI design guidelines, best practices and standards across all digital channels. Subject matter expert in web design, UI and overall online user experience methodologies.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Provides project management and creative direction for outside vendors as needed. Delivers on project plan milestones and deliverables. Contributes to creative brief generation, aligning dates with project expectations and how digital initiatives fit in overall campaigns or cross channel presentations.

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

•  7-10 years of UI/UX design experience.

•  Ability to create consistently amazing user experiences and visual designs on digital products ranging from SaaS, to websites, to mobile, to desktop.

•  Acts as the user-advocate during the development process, subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing or expert review, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective.

•  Exceptional design skills and execution with strong portfolio of past work and use case examples.

•  Strong HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery, Responsive Design methodologies & prototyping skills required.

•  Willingness to accept a wide range of UI/UX responsibilities with ease and minimal direction are essential to be successful in the position.

•  Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator), and industry-standard wireframing/interaction tools (Balsamiq, InVision, Axure).

•  Working knowledge of WordPress and/or other open source CMS platforms.

•  Experienced in vendor and agency management including but not limited to providing project direction, leading customer feedback channels such as surveying or focus groups, and drafting comprehensive briefs.
