Role: Jr DevOps Engineer
Location: Lorian, OH
Experience: 3-5+ years
Contract Duration: 6+ months (could be extended based on performance)

Qualifications
• 3 years with Unix/Linux administration in a high volume, high traffic environment.
• Experience building a fully automated, highly elastic cloud platforms
• Strong hands on experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, Salt, or Puppet
• Working experience on Docker is a plus
• Experience with networking e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, etc., MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS, load-balancing and clustering
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment platforms (Jenkins, Hudson)
• Strong shell scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell / BASH)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and other NoSQL is a plus
• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Smart, a very quick learner, and is able to get things done
• Very clear written and verbal communicator
Responsibilities
• Design and deploy new cassandra nodes using Chef
• Monitor and tune production Cassandra clusters
• Work on a high-¬impact, small¬-team with tight timeframes
• Carry out monitoring and performance analysis using Dynatrace, Splunk
• Set up environments from scratch on a highly scalable distributed environment
