Musonge Tries to Twist the Arms of Fako People
Reports reaching the United States from Buea indicate that the former Prime Minister of Cameroon, Mr. Peter Mafany Musonge has invited Fako elements to a so-called "enlarged forum" at the Buea Mountain Hotel, tomorrow, Thursday, February 2, 2017.
His orders are to get the Bakweri/Fako people to issue a motion of support for the government, and promise to end the school and lawyers' strike no later than February 24th. After that, and this is important, the government will start looking for solutions to the teachers' and lawyers' problems.
These people must think Fako people are fools and rank idiots.
When Mr. Musonge was Prime Minister, the Fako people begged him, as head of government to solve the problem of Bakweri CDC lands that have been seized by la Republique du Cameroun. Musonge turned a deaf ear to his own people. Amadou Danpullo was handed the Tole Tea Estate, in Musonge's own backyard, for free. Now Mola Musonge needs the Fako people to help him fight his battles on behalf of la Republique du Cameoun. He and other Fako politicians should remember the saying: "He who eats alone must fight alone."
The Fako and South West intellectuals and professionals will never, never, accept this slavery that their own brother is selling them into.
If I were in that meeting, I would ask Mola Musonge to tells us what his government has done for his people, and what it has done to solve the Bakweri land problem since the 1990's when he was PM.
