Location: Holmdel, NJ

Duration: 12 Months

Contract 

US Citizens or GC only

 

Required:  Successful Candidate must be an expert programmer with the QTP Automated Test Tool.

 

QTP Automation Developer
The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple environments and architectures, diverse technologies and lab environments. The individual will work closely with testers, project managers, network engineers and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results and troubleshooting. The individual should have an understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with product management, project management and test teams
to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use
cases
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools
for performing testing/validation function
• Develop the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing using (primarily) Mercury Interactive/HP products (ALM/Quality Center, QTP, etc), Selenium, Empirix (G5 and FX-TDM)
• Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools as required for test automation
• Execute and analyze automation test results.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive
towards root cause identification and resolution
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using Quality Center or
similar tools/means
• Support testing and/or application deployment during the off-hours for "validation testing"

Minimum Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in software and/or test automation development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good software development/scripting skills in common languages like VB, JAVA, PERL ,C++, and/or bash, etc
• Database skills (SQL), mainly in Oracle and SQL Server
• Good experience with different Operating Systems, with emphasis on Linux and Windows
variants
• Good understanding of object oriented programming
• Knowledge of automated testing tools, like QTP, Selenium, SoapUI, Empirix (G5 and FX-TDM), etc.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of IP and VoIP networking, protocols such as HTTP/HTML and SIP, various web browsers, firewalls, routers, Apache, Weblogic, etc.
• Must be flexible, independent and self motivated 
• All work to be performed on site
• B.S. Computer Science or technical certification and/or experience
