Role: PHP Full Stack Engineer (Urgent Position)
Location : Downtown NYC
Duration: 2 consulting opportunities 6 months duration with possible conversation after 4 months to FTE. (If candidate is converted to Full time employee after 4 months there will be no conversation fee. Please make sure you agree to this before submitting.)

Job Description:
The candidate must have a passion for software development, solutions architecture and application performance to join the technology team. In this role you will build enterprise-level applications and services while working closely with various product teams using agile methodologies. You must have strong analytical and technical skills using PHP and MYSQL in order to be successful in this role.
You must also have the ability to communicate complex concepts in a concise manner to both technical and non-technical staff. You are a developer who enjoys designing software that performs and scales well, and you're looking to join a rapidly growing team with an emphasis on creating exciting products.
The Work
· You'll collaborate with a team of developers to design, develop, unit test, and support new features
· Propose and implement technical solutions that fulfill functional and non-functional requirements
· Be willing to challenge design ideas when other opportunities exist to solve a problem
· Explain (and "whiteboard") complex technical issues to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
· Expected to be proactive, ambitious, and have the desire to continually improve your skill set
· Conduct system analysis and issue resolution as needed
· Maintain coding, compliance and security standards
· You'll work with other departments, stakeholders, and customers on software development, improvements, internal tools, and implementation issues
About You
· BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related work experience + minimum 4 years of experience developing in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS on LAMP stack
· You have experience with MVC or OOP design patterns
· Database design, development, and performance tuning using MYSQL database
· You've built high traffic web sites leveraging various caching strategies
· You have experience with agile development methodology
· Designing and implementing service-oriented architecture
· Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) a plus
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable working in a fast moving, agile environment
· You're self-motivated, needing little guidance on completing tasks on time and meeting expectations in terms of requirements
· You enjoy leading, motivating and collaborating with others
· You have experience with the following: PHP 5/7, PHP Frameworks (Yii, Symfony, Zend), Linux/Unix, CSS preprocessors such as SAAS or LESS
