Why would any one hold kids hostage? Can I inform many that education began in that part of Cameroon since the 1800s?LRC,apart from the Dualas ,is a new comer here. To believe that two regions with a combined literacy rate which stands out as one of the highest in Africa are against education is not only preposterous but an insult to the intelligence of these people. They want nothing to do with people teaching their children in pidgin or French which they do not understand ;and which lowers the quality of education to dangerous levels of semi-illiteracy! People are free to go somewhere else rather than engage in these types of mistaken views. Guys we are doing this for a better tomorrow for these kids. Not every family has the ability to send their kids abroad as yours did. Let those back home have a chance of a better system that will enable them to live a comfortable and more meaningful life. A better system of Education is what the end result of this struggle will be and much more. The Government knows that this weapon is effective. Look at all their desperate attempts even yesterday as well to dissolve consortium with confusion. But hey they failed. They are hacking and faking signatures of the consortium. Like I earlier said if the strike was not an effective means, the regime would have not given any attention. The people are sacrificing for a better tomorrow. Encourage them and stop these discouraging remarks.Civil disobedience is the answer. We shall get results. We are not going violent. We shall succeed. The struggle continues. The consortium is strongly united behind Ivo, mark, Wilfred, Nkongho and Fontem. Dialogue commences on the release of all southern Cameroonians in captive. Those working with Biya should tell him that these two kids he so dreads are still on top and the consortium(the people of Southern Cameroons ) want them there until Balla and Fontem resume office.THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES .PEACE.
Sent from my iPadI think that one of the reason for keeping the children Home is to prevent further miseducation of our kids! Till we put good structures in place and revamp our curriculum, it would be worthless sending them to further stuck their brains with confusion! We also need to inject a sector in our education that caters for career orientation from the base upwards! The current educational system with curriculum being provided by France is toxic to our institutions and our soceity!!
Sent from my iPhone--Julius AchamWrong, Jonathan is not mad. He has a different opinion from you regarding the holding of Anglophone kids hostage by beleaguered secessionists and irredentists. As long as everyone else is going through their daily activities, keeping the kids out of school is a self-inflicted wound. Jonathan Awasom is right, the secessionists and irredentists should respect Ngia Awasom and put an end to this nonsense ASAP.AugustineEnow Agbor--

Subject: [camnetwork] The CONSORTIUM should call OFF the STRIKE and GHOST TOWNS ; the Biya's regime should RELEASE all POLITICAL PRISONERS and STOP TRIAL for TREASONKen Sande , a lawyer and peacemaker writes
" Peacemakers are people who breathe grace...God delights to breathe his grace through peacemakers and use them to dissipate anger, improve understanding , promote justice , and encourage repentance and reconciliation. As a lawyer and full-time Christian conciliator , I have seen this powerful dynamic bring peace in hundreds of conflicts"
The Cameroon Consortium should call off the strike and ghost Towns for conflict resolution. By the same token President Biya's regime should release all political prisoners and also end the trial of Consortium leaders . This is a 50/50 proposition to set the stage for conflict resolution against which backdrop a third party mediator will be invited in no other body than the UNO. In situations of conflict, you cannot have 100% of what you are demanding. You have to be ready to resolve the conflict with no prejudice because conflicts arise for a reason depending on what we are looking for. Hitherto, emotions will continue to rise and fall but people cannot be stuck and locked into a perpetual tunnel of conflict with no end in sight. In this light, here are my thoughts and I know some people will applaud this initiative while others will frown but it is what happens when you choose to become a mediator , peace advocate or PEACEMAKER! If you will like to work towards peace ,please, feel free to contact me at 201-878-5829.
When shall normal life return to Southern Cameroons? I see a deep conflict that could get out of control and degenerate into something horrible. It is clear that many don t know how the UNO operates and seem disinterested in understanding. I hate to see people headed down the wrong path. Now I think that we have to show maturity to the world from the Diaspora. How?
1. Continuously call for dialogue through the UNO as a third party mediator2. End the strike and ghost towns to seek dialogue3. Ask the regime to release all people arrested and locked for the sake ofdialogue, too and also to stop treason trial of Consortium leaders facing trial for treason and terror etc4. Stop inciting the regime from the Diaspora especially on social media becauseThey are reactionary and retaliating against the armless and powerless people5 Adopt a language of non-violence consistent with the principles ofinternational peace and cooperation amongst nations by the UNO6. Empower a red cross kind of relief medical team like nurses and physicians tohave access to victims who are scared of showing up at the hospital and arehiding and suffering7 Insist on using social media to promote peaceful solution to the problemrather than threatening the regime from overseas whereas they are not botheredand have shown that they would continue to crack down on our people if we keepthreatening them. No evil and carnage against a people is ever justified. But we must pursue the UNO and other bodies to collectively work towards resolving the conflict. The Cameroon regime has isolated our People, the Southern Cameroonians, and killing them. This situation is precarious and getting worse by the day while some people are celebrating on social media overseas dishing out false hope to those who desperately cling unto a serpent as it will appear. To whom are we talking to on social media? We are talking to ourselves and even smiling laughing and feeling good. I am talking about the daily reports which portrays otherwise and scares me to death because none of us on social media are affected. If President Biya has blocked communication in Southern Cameroons, then what should be our role in the Diaspora to ensure that normal life returns to our people under attack and military occupation? I ask sincere questions because some of you are painting a picture on social media that does not reflect the reality on the ground. I need not know. All I see is continuous killings and massive arrests, torture etc because of some of our actions on social media. So could we tone down and adopt a peaceful (diplomatic) approach where our people won't be unfairly targeted like that? What is the role of Diaspora towards preventing genocide or civil war against Southern Cameroons? Does it occur to anyone that something is wrong somewhere and that we continue to swim in this pool of deceit simply because we are so safe overseas? We are more reasonable, right? How can we continue to insult a monstrous regime from overseas with words when they have shown that they won't listen to us speaking out in the diaspora? I am only thinking aloud and asking in good faith because I am not sure that the kind of false optimism painted from the diaspora is helpful at all. So that is my point. Each time the youths (I don't know if they are paid by the regime to do or not) commit any act violence like burn down any building the regime cracks down more on the innocent people and so I don' t we realize that it is not working? The UNO does a routine job of investigation all the time. They are paid to do so and let nobody mislead our people into thinking UNO is now involved.I want to say here that we have a good case but I am concern about approach. It is my hope that we can learn from our mistakes and change our approach because? it is not working the way we are trying to convince ourselves about it. These are my personal insights and thoughts, which can be looked into or whatever. But you know what I am telling you the truth because the stakes are very high now. If you think I am a clown check out history of genocides and civil wars in Africa. What makes us think that we can fight a regime like with words and overcome them? You see I know that we are not violent people. The anger inside us is felt and sometimes we want to jump and tear someone into pieces. But my friends the reality is so complex and when I think of Ghandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and also President Ronald Reagan who ended the cold war without a single gun shut I know that we could solve these problems, too without shedding blood and wasting many lives. Attitude counts and approach is the principal factor in winning diplomatically.PeaceJonathan Awasom--Long Live Ambazonia (Southern Cameroons, West Cameroon)Julius AchamukongTo deny a People their human rights is to challenge their very humanity (Nelson Mandela)__._,_.___
