Sir, The second technological revolution is slowly upon us. The human needs whatever they
may be; will be available off the shelf and will also be machine driven. The human
contact will reduce to the barest minimum. This is already affecting the Teacher in the
Classroom. He will be obsolete in the near future as options will be available to
students to study and learn whatever they need to become useful members of the society
without actually depending on other human beings.
The Teacher will be reduced to a content creator rather than deliverer of the content.
The content will also be multi media rich that will include video, text and sound as well
as animation. The old institutes with classrooms may become Learning Theaters and
students attending subjects of their interest. On going testing from one session to the
next would be a prerequisite to attend the next and subsequent sessions. Learning will be
customized and students can learn at their own pace. Degrees may still be around but they
will reflect successful course completion and not any functional discipline.
Books may still be read but more pointedly.
Best regards,
K.Paranjpe

>The huge migration of population from rural to urban areas and even rural areas being
brought under corporation and nagar palika for tax-free industrial estate would no doubt
bring problem of its own. We have perhaps forgotten how the General Manager - HR of
Maruti Suzuki was beaten and burnt to death. Militancy is rising among solidarity of work
force and this is another problematic area which the future managers would need to
contend with.Today's TOI brought forth a new revelation...the army needs protection. They
have asked for creation of a new unit corps of 18K men to secure their camps. On one hand
no doubt this would provide employment opportunity for many but on the other hand doesn't
it reveal the fragility of our armed force in not being able to secure their own
establishments/camps?Future dealings in any field would require LEADERSHIP quality.

Dear All,The business managers of the future will be required to serve the 66% of
population migrated to the urban areas and 33% in rural within next two decades. The
responsibility of today's visionary is to take a long-term view to educate, equip and
empower young working generation grooming them for respecting professional ethics and
values.Warm regards,G.S.Autee
