Re: [MTC Global] PPT on skills for engineers

The problem with our engineering education is not simply pertaining to matching industry demands but also something to do with excess supply.
Despite 70 years of being an independent country we still couldn't come out with any manpower plan regarding economy's requirements.
It's high time we have some estimate of requirements. Secondly infrastructure of these institutes need to be improved.
Thirdly curriculum needs to improvised In consonance with industry requirements.
Fourthly Industry institutes interaction must go up, so that both have win win situation.
The acid test whether these youngsters could create, communicate and deliver value right from the day one .

Dear Vice Chancellor Dr. K.K.S. Bhatia,

Greetings from Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram.

I have gone through the PPP on skills for engineers. It is wonderful presentation. However, what is needed for the future may be a perspective plan for future engineers? How the Govt. should tackle the problem of poor teaching and inadequate infrastructure? the role of Pvt participation?
How to solve the problem of educated unemployment or voluntary unemployment or disguised unemployment? and also how to address  the future engineering demands in the market in a holistic way?

All these issues to be addressed. If possible pl. add some more slides on these line also.

Sincerely

I prepared a PPT on Skills for Engineers by taking data from reliable sources and using my experience.

I hope it will be useful as now a days every one is discussing this important issue and looking for solutions.

Please have a look.
