which can be likened to this interpretation (my personal thought )

" I have released your leaders. I will bring down the hammer on further demands...... the problem is resolved toe the line henceforth ".

Take note what the release says ( in paragraph 1 )

H E Paul Biya ordered the discontinuance of the proceedings pending before the military tribunal in Yaounde  ( not freedom of our leaders )  ( language sounds tricky.. again my thought )
