Re: [MTC Global] How to Personalize Learning in Higher Education?

Dear All,
Every student deserves an accomplished teacher to equip them with the skills to succeed in a global community
  • by recognizing the individual differences that distinguish one student from another and taking account of these differences in their practice.
  • with commitment to students' cognitive development as well as to students' ownership of their learning.
  • Equally important, they foster students' self-esteem, motivation, character, perseverance, civic responsibility, intellectual risk taking, and respect for others.....as per CTE standards

  • Accomplished teachers have a rich, holistic understanding of who their students are as learners and individuals.
  • They value their students' various learning styles and stages of development, and
  • they create learning environments that differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.
Warm regards,

Dear All,
Personalized learning is now a major movement in education; education philanthropists are betting heavily on personalized learning as well: Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan as well as the Gates Foundation recently announced personalized learning initiatives. In his recent, well-received book "The End of Average," Harvard's Todd Rose makes the compelling case for personalized  education.

The quality of a higher education institution is measured by the success of its students. Many institutions are now embracing the fact that every student is different and in order to give the maximum chance for each student to reach their very best, there is a need to personalize the learning experience.

To reach this goal, traditional methods of delivering educational services should be supplemented according to each student's personal needs.

How we can achieve it? A good discussion can really be useful for all of us.
