The alternative you have, my dear brother, is to suggest that I stop understanding. I already understood what was meant even if its author never did. And talk about levels. From your very high level you saw a presidential clemency in that press release. It must be true that people at very high levels see what we at low levels don't. If 'high level' and 'low level' are concepts, intellectuals know both. Let's keep going, with God leading us.

This means the discussions have to be about two states i.e. Independent La Republique du Cameroun and Independent Southern Cameroons or alternatively a federation of two states. This has always been the issue. Many of us believe that restoration of independence is the only viable option whilst others believe a federation of two states of equal status is a viable option.  Discussion can only be about these two options.

These people were arrested in the first place to be used as bargaining chips so that the government will concede very little but release them and kill the struggle.

The struggle is not for release of prisoners but for discussion of the Form of State i.e two states or a federation of two states period.
