Job Description:Role: Database Architect
Duration: 6 months
Location: New Bedford MA
Rate: OPEN/DOE
Type: Contract

The ideal candidate will have DBA experience, but have truly had responsibilities at the Architect level.
Develop overall solutions and high level design to meet business needs and align with IT standards. Provide direction and support to the development team on all technology and processes needed construct and maintain applications.

1. Facilitate architecture reviews and approvals. Support the development of business unit roadmaps.
2. Hands on exp towards Databases like ( Oracle, SQL Server MS Access etc…)
3. Prior exp in Designing and migration of Databases.
4. Provide recommendations for tuning under-performing applications to increase performance (SQL Tuning, Index Tuning and Memory Tuning)

Job Requirements: Responsibilities:

• Contribute to business requirements and business process design
• Develop and maintain high level design
• Specify infrastructure needed to meet all technical application requirements
• Establish use of software development lifecycle best practices and standards
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions - and DESIGN THOSE SOLUTIONS
• Experience articulating technical information to a non-technical audience
• Extensive recent experience in an Architecture/Design role where more than 50% of their responsibilities were Architecture-related
• Experience in Development and Production environments
