Needs a developer for a short project. Probably a month or so. Need to have worked with Pentaho, have good SQL Server skills and scripting, preferably Python.
Pentaho Developer
We are an educational technology and book company looking for a consultant that can work with making enhancements, additions and bug fixes to our data interchange system handled via Pentaho.
This person should have experience working with the Pentaho tool and handling a wide array of varying data sets including flat files and SQL databases.
Currently the Pentaho transforms are combined with the Jenkins job manager and Python scripts to enhance the capability of the Pentaho transforms.
You should also have some experience with technical user documentation for knowledge transfers.
The responsibilities are as follows:
1. Learning how to transform from the ONIX xml format to our internal SQL database format and any business logic involved in that transform.
2. Update the scripts to accommodate new logic or database structure as we move to a new version of our business management software, Sage.
3. Create new scripts to support the integration of new features to our website.
4. Add to technical documentation concerning the above tasks.
