Re: [ACEsthetics] Sedated patients cooperation

I seldom go beyond .25 mg; augmented with 25 mg Hydroxizine.  Mouth props, nitrous, Beats headphones have a button you can push on their right channel that cuts your voice in over the music.  It's extremely cost effective to get that much dentistry done in a day.  Usually, when I finish a sedation patient, I'm done for thet day.

Subject: [ACEsthetics] Sedated patients cooperation

Just had a patient who did the 'little pill' before he came in for several units.
He was almost asleep the whole appointment. And we only gave him ONE .5 mg of Triazolam!
He's not a tiny guy, but HOW do people get dental work done when they're half freaking asleep!? How can we do the very best dentistry, occlusion, margins..preps, when they
're continually closing down or not following instructions!?
TOUGH case! Ug!
I don't like sedated patients! He's a good friend of mine too..I've known him for many years..
