RE: [ACEsthetics] What's all about PIPS?

Welcome Mark. Besides keeping the PIPS technique going, I want to thank you
a lot for getting me into the Buffering anesthetic technique from ON pharma.
I just hate doing a day without using it.

We have neglected using the WPT as much as I would like, so hope there is
some good discussion on the facebook site so we can get going again in our
office. I thought the surgical exposure that Dr Barr did with the laser was
so smooth and clean and now with great grafting materials we should be able
to do some nice treatment with it.

Hey Guys,
Here's the deal. Ken Siegel asked me to post here. I then spent the money
to become a member of your group. Some of the threads are very articulate
and enjoyable, thanks! I just want to shed some light on PIPS.

First, I won't go through a bunch of explanation. There are over 9 articles
in peer reviewed journals, including one with Ove Peters in JOE in last
July's issue. PIPS is a worldwide phenomenon right now.
PIPS uses only 20mj of energy to move fluid throughout the entire root canal
system in just 30 seconds. Our studies show COMPLETE removal of biofilm,
using confocal microscopy and SEM. This has been repeated over and over,
with the same result. PIPS isn't a fad, it's science and supported by sound
scientific principles.

What it allows us to do is to perform minimally invasive endodontics, with
minimal amount of filing. My confidence level with PIPS included in my endo
is huge, that I got all the bugs. What our studies show is COMPLETE removal,
all the way into fins, anestemoses, lateral canals, and of course tubules.
There is more to come, and yes, the science is done not only by us, but by
groups in other countries, Italy, Japan, and others....so this isn't just us
showing the way, there are other very renowned scientists who see what we
see, like Dr. Ricucci in Italy, Dr. David Jaramillio at Loma Linda, Dr. Ove
Peters at UOP, Dr.
Ben Johnson, Dr. Tom McClammey, and others. These guys are the endo dudes
who have seen and personally used PIPS.

I have posted on Dental Town over the years in the Endo Forum and of course
gotten blasted...but do the homework, and check the research out. I saw that
Mark Malterud sent a message to you guys, and he has seen first hand what
PIPS can do...now...with all that we know about it, we are excited to see
what it is doing in Perio...and I see you guys are talking about that
lately. You wouldn't believe the results we are getting there as well.

It's always good to question new techniques and technology, but become
knowledgeable and familiar with something before you dismiss it...I've
learned the hard way.

Needless to say we are excited about our little accidental discovery in the
world of Laser Dentistry, and hopefully, it will change what we do for our
patients in a very positive way. That is our hope.

Thanks,
Mark
