Re: [MTC Global] Quality

Dear Dr Ashok Kumar
Greetings!

Thank you for the updates on TQM in Education.
I personally feel that the persons who are handling the Portfolio of Higher Education are yet to wake up and make Quality Mandatory in all streams of Higher Education, especially for all / any educational Institution to expand their educational activities. This must at least be performed seriously..else there will be a glut of educational institutions...as is happening in the present.

Yesterday I was browsing and was shocked to see the information that the list of AICTE approved MBA Colleges in India is 4765. I have the whole list of Colleges, B.Pharma is 3213. I am not talking about non approved, Private Institutes which are not recognized by the AICTE.

Some Institutes like the CII, QCI may even go ahead of constituting the awards for Excellence in Education. As of now to the best of my knowledge they have not started it. Being an Assessor of CII-Exim Bank Award, I understand its rigorous processes of evaluating.
CII-IQ awards Organizations for CII - EXIM BANK AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE.It is done in 3 stages, has a point grade system on which it operates, which is again based on the Malcolm Balridge Model.  The stages of award process are
1. Commendations for Strong Commitment to Excel
2. Commendations for Significant Improvement
3. Prize
 AWARD

Thanks and Regards
