Re: [MTC Global] Today's Quote

Dhanya, You have sent a very touchy quote.
George Eliot"s statement was relevant in his country at that time. where there was plenty for
everyone. Today, it is not the case anymore.
For India, where 40 crore survive by eating one just square meal & earning less than $1 a day,
contentment is a malady & spreading like wildfire -- beggars spend 30 to 40 years on the streets
just beggiing which is the easiest thing to do & do nothing to improve their life -- contentment.
So also, offspring of rich children -- money & assests get trasferred to the disciontented & the person who is struggling.
Contentment leads to complacency which in turn results in average or below par performance.
It is good for some one who has made it in life in several areas.
A person who has not achieved anything significant must strive for the same, be restless
& must want success very badly , according to Socrates.
Never underutilize one"s potential -- if you are capable of earning Rs 70 K PM , do not be satisfied with Rs 40 L PM..
