JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst (based in Palo Alto) to perform detailed analysis on 

our client's customer and product data in order to determine the overall quality and health of the information stored in the master data management system and its connected sources systems. 

This individual will also be responsible for understanding the end to end data architecture and how the data flows between the hub and spokes, and how the data is leveraged within our business processes to identify potential impacts as processes and systems change. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES (but not limited to):

• Perform Data Analysis/Data Profiling on key Master Data entities in order to report and plan data remediation and data cleanup activities. 
• Understand the data architecture and data flow between MDM system and its spokes to effectively build data quality and audit reports. 
• Support requirement gathering and design approaches to business data solutions involving Universal Customer Master (UCM), Trillium DQ, Product Hub, Data Relationship Management (DRM) and other Hierarchy tools. 
• Support software releases by developing Test Cases, and coordinating Business testing and approvals. 
• Create metrics and reports (ad-hoc and repetitive) to support data management, data quality and Data Governance programs. 
• Analyze metrics to track data quality on an ongoing basis and drive improvement according to business priorities. 
• Provide business metadata / data documentation for enterprise master data entities
• Pro-actively communicate data quality and thought leadership internally and externally

REQUIREMENT: 

• Minimum of 4-7 years experience with data analysis and data quality improvement initiatives within the software or high tech industry 
• Experience with data profiling toolsets such as Trillium Discovery, Informatica Data Quality, IBM Datastage, DataFlux etc. 
• Working knowledge of master data management program cycles for at least one of customer, product or hierarchy dimensions. 
• Must have an understanding of Oracle EBS including the TCA data model. 
• Knowledge on SFDC/UCM data models preferred. 
• Experience working with 3rd party data enrichment providers like D&B is a good to have.
• Experience working with complex B2B Business Models – Must have an understanding of Party- Account model, customer types, classifications, relationships, hierarchy management etc.
• Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SQL (a must) and VBA – including macro creation. 
• Ability to present at a senior executive level; must be able to summarize.
