As of January 1, 1995, it is mandatory under Connecticut State Law that Dental Assistants be certified in the exposing of Dental X-rays. In a small group setting with a qualified State of CT approved course instructor you will experience quality instruction and hands on practice in a supportive environment. This course prepares the participant to take the Radiation, Health and Safety exam. Class size is limited to 12 for personal attention.

This course includes:

· hands on x-ray technique practice and advancement
· practice test questions most commonly asked on the exam
· course handouts and study guide
· home study guide of dental and oral anatomy including landmarks
· practice in exposing and interpreting radiographs
· classroom instruction in concepts, physics, emulsions, X-ray technique errors,
x-ray mounting, radiation health and safety
· guidance and support in the DANB exam application process

*Tuition: $425 to pay online or by credit card/$395 by certified or personal check.* This fee includes instruction, course materials, hands on practice, coffee, lunch and course completion certificate. Dress is casual for course participants.

*Laura Collins, RDH, CDA, OCA, AAS* Certified RHS instructor, is the Director/Owner of the LABCO Dental Assisting School. Her students have achieved a 100% pass rate over the years in the RHS exam. Laura is also employed as a dental assistant for over 30 years. She is passionate about teaching and compassionate to course participants in achieving their goals. Laura is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association and a graduate of Fones School of Dental Hygiene, University of Bridgeport, CT.
