Arun, we use implant scalers with the special tips that will not scratch the metal. They also use Super Floss wrapped around the implant with the small interproximal brushes with plastic bristles. They have their own protocol that they came back from the perio meeting in Savannah. Naturally the instruments had to be HuFriedy…most expensive on the market.

Do any of you have a protocol to clean around implants at the Hyg appointment
We are doing several 6 on 6 implant supported prosthesis and i need your observations.
Do implants require cleaning ? anyone have a protocol?
What instruments to use on the soft titanium?
