There was a dentist in Los Angeles, Dr. Art Forrest, who used to be on the IDF, and his technique for removing veneers was to use a worn out carbide at very high speeds until it turned red, and the veneer would just pop off- the composite cement just melted! He swore it worked all the time and he didn't even have to anesthetize much, since the porcelain was such a good thermal insulator!
I never really had the guts to try it!
