Title: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 12-24 Months
· Java developers with Agile experience needed for long term project to update, enhance, and create new functionality to back office financial systems.
· The ideal candidate will have strong hands on design and development skills with CORE JAVA and strong back end Oracle experience is a plus (their environment is ORACLE).
. Working within large enterprise database development projects is a big plus
. Knowledge of HashMap-VS-TreeMap JAVA (how to configure HASHMAP, for CONCURRENT HASHMAP what threads are used)
. Threading, multi-threading, synchronization
. Anyone that has worked on 100 rules or more of JAVA
. Understanding the difference between a blocking Queue-VS- regular queue
. Hands on knowledge with HQ (messaging)
. experience and knowledge with object-oriented development and UI experience
. JDBC, JMS development experience needed
. MUST have the ability to be very analytical (this project and all projects tied to it are very high level development and complex) throughout the database development
· Some projects will require a lot of calculations, algorithms, within development at times and must be able to problem solve and think outside the standard SDLC process
. Anyone that has been a part of a full lifecycle database development and has been involved with production support, production testing, SQA, defining business cases/requirements is going to excel in this team
. Experience with back office financial systems such as corporate actions, custody, trading, brokerage is a plus
This is a long term, multi-year effort working on a series of continuous projects.
