Description
This is an information technology position responsible for providing high quality design, development, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the Presentation
Tier for a case management system. This requires the use of object-oriented methodologies, Visual Basic .NET, XML, and Sybase T-SQL in the execution of a standardized development process.
Duties are performed under limited supervision.
Primary Duties
· Conducts in-depth analysis of current business practices; proposes, develops and implements detailed system changes based on results of analysis.
· Develops and performs complex graphical user interface (GUI) coding in VB.NET with use of third party controls while meeting established deadlines.
· Researches and analyzes system defects and user-reported problems by duplicating and identifying the root cause, and prepares the necessary corrections to issues.
· Develops SQL scripts to correct minor data issues as needed based on user requests.
· Performs unit testing to certify application changes and data fixes are correct.
· Understands and follows change management process for all case management system applications, working with developers, team leads and deployment teams to identify
issues and follow-through with solutions in a timely manner.
· Creates deployment details and follows procedures to build, deploy and test a deployment, communicating status and handling issues appropriately and efficiently.
· Analyzes database objects to determine how the design relates to the code; reads and comprehends database model and code; suggests database changes as needed to meet coding and business needs.
· Develops written documentation for complex code and coding methods.
· Discusses alternatives and approaches with colleagues as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree with an IT-related major or minor; AND
· One year of related programming experience.
· An equivalent combination of education, experience, and / or training may be considered.
Additional Requirements/Preferences
· Proficiency with VB.NET, XML, and T-SQL required.
· Satisfactory criminal background check required
