Job Description:This is our direct-client opening for an Oracle Developer located in Austin, TX. This is a full-time position and our client is only interested in local candidates to Texas. The salary range is DOE.
Our client is looking for an outstanding individual to fill a key Oracle Developer position. This position is responsible for the full life cycle of warehouse systems from requirements gathering and analysis through implementation of the production system. The developer will provide support in all aspects of data movement for a data warehouse environment, with emphasis on developing, modifying and maintaining Oracle Essbase cubes. Persons in this position must understand the development and maintenance techniques surrounding data movement and automated data delivery. You must be a team player and a self-starter who can work independently to exploit Oracle Essbase, ETL, PL/SQL and proprietary technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, debug, and document financially-related Oracle Data Warehouse applications.
Work with business customers to analyze, define and document requirements.
Create, quality test, and deploy data transformation processes utilizing Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Warehouse Builder.
Create, quality test, and deploy automated reporting and dashboards utilizing Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, and BI Publisher.
Understanding of UNIX Scripting.
Maintain a suite of existing applications and provide critical production support to meet daily OLA/SLAs defined with internal and external customers.
Participate in 24hr on-call support (on rotation basis).
Identify opportunities to optimize the execution times, data accuracy, and integrity of our ETL environment.
Skills/Education/Experience:
2+ years experience developing in a Data Warehousing environment.
Attention for detail and a drive to ensure the integrity of underlying data and reports.
Experience with Essbase Administration/Configuration, including writing and maintaining MaxL scripts, Outline Configuration, Calculation Scripts, Business Rules, Web Forms, Reports and Security settings.
Familiarity with SmartView and Essbase Add-In tools for planning and reporting.
2+ years experience developing in a Data Warehousing environment.
2+ years Oracle PL/SQL Development and Oracle SQL tuning experience is required.
1+ years development experience utilizing Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) and/or Oracle BI Enterprise Edition or BI Publisher preferred.
Prefer experience financial services or in a high-transaction processing environment
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
