RE: [MTC Global] [Weekend Big Debate- I] Women can't have it all

While appreciate the logic of Mr. Shivdasani, I find an important link missing – what was the contribution of spouse and other family members  of these successful in letting him be he is/was or how happy or miserable were his/her family members. When you talk of work-life balance, you may avoid the social life, a man with passion can live without a social life, but you cannot overlook the family or absence of any family responsibilities.

Dear fellow professionals

Herewith my rather unconventional views on the subject of work-life balance: "Work Life Balance is Humbug".These thoughts are not gender specific, and extracted from my just released book 'Leadership, Fame and Self-actualization'.  I do intend posting soon, hopefully unbiased, gender specific views in an article 'Are women as good leaders as their male counter-parts?'

Shall be glad to get reactions from u all

I agree with dr artee.

Although I don't have kids of my own, but I worry when I do, what will I do. How will I keep a watch over them. Whom will I leave them with. What if the person is not of good moral character.

Then I contempilate ..ok I spend enough time in office..may be I will take a break ...pick something to do from home.

So much of brainstorming is when I don't have kids. I marvel women even in my workplace who manage both home and office.but they all say one thing. Its not possible without a cooperative partners.

So there must be a lot of cooperative partners.

In the organization I worked till 2012. They had maternity leaves for both men and women.

Thanks and regards
Dr. Padma
