Role: Information Security Analyst 3 - SIEM, DLP 
Location - GOLD RIVER, California

Description 
Represents the Data Security Office on project teams and other IS initiatives and works with other IS operations support departments to identify and recommend solutions on security-related issues. Provides hands-on security administration of a broad range of security duties and requires a high level of technical experience. Has experience in the administration of SIEM (QRadar) or DLP (Symantec). Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to oversight of design, engineering, analysis, research, testing and monitoring. Serves as the Technical Analyst senior advisor to the Chief Data Security Officer, IT Security Operations Manager and affiliates. 

Qualifications 
Seeking Information Security Analyst with experience assessing security vulnerabilities, performing security forensics & responding to security incidents. 

Education: 

Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. CISSP desired. Masters desired. 

Experience/Knowledge/Skills: 

Relevant work experience as an IT Security Analyst or related field as typically acquired in 6 to 8 years. Three to five (3 to 5) years of healthcare information technology industry experience preferred. 
CISSP certification desired. 
Thorough knowledge of information systems security concepts and current information security trends and practices including security processes and methods. 
Strong technical skills in planning, administration, and management of information systems, operational and technical security controls, and security risk analysis and management. 
Strong business and technical skills in the planning, administration, and management of information systems, operational and technical security controls and security risk analysis and management. 
Knowledge of Federal and state IS security and privacy-related regulatory requirements. 
Detailed knowledge regarding NIST, HIPAA, FIPS, and other recognized industry security standards and best practices. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
Strong interpersonal and customer support skills. 
Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. 
Prioritize work while multi-tasking on assigned work. 

Top 3 skills sets-non negotiable: 
For the SIEM analyst SIEM. For the DLP analyst DLP, preferably Symantec DLP. Will be secondary support to one of the others we own such as, Websense, FireEye, Trend Micro, Credant, Rapid7. This is an IT Guy role more than an Analysis role. Day to day, operational support of Security technologies. 

Day to Day activities include: 
Administration of the products assigned/documentation/process development, Remedy ticketing, possibly incident response/working with SOC.

DSO? System depends on the work being done. 

Non-technical skills needed to work well with the current team: 
Strong Writing Skills and Sense of Humor 

Work environment (fast paced, deadline intensive, flexible hours, flexible dress code, etc.) 
Rambunctious, sometimes fast paced, each day is not quite the same as the last. Always with an eye on how to do things better for the system and the team. 

REQUIRED 
*Relevant work experience as an IT Security Analyst or related field (6 Years) 
*Healthcare information technology industry experience (3 Years) 
*Thorough knowledge of information systems security concepts & current information security trends & practices including security processes & methods 
*Strong tech skills in planning, admin, & management of info systems, operational & tech security controls, & security risk analysis management
