Dear Mr Ngumne
What you fail to understand is that the French political class is very
pragmatic when they make their statements. Yes; 27 years can be so
much in Burkina Faso because the main challenger to Campaoré does not
pose a threat to French interest. That person was not of Campaoré's
liking. That is where the whole show lies.
As for Cameroon, the man go take power if elections were fairly
organized is some one the French do not trust. Mr Hollande himself has
had to tell the oerson to soften his stance "in politics, it is not
advisable to be too radical" Mr Hollande once told that when he was
not in power. You know the person and can meet him to tell you more.
So, as long as they think that Cameroonians are hesistant to
accommodate "a third accommodating force" like the Maurice Kamtos;
they will continue to cash on the ailing and redundant Paul Biya.
However, who knows how dumbs do react?
We can wake up one of these mornings and find a Burkina Faso 2 here.
Do not write that out.

Mr. Francois Hollande was confirming the fact that he warned Blaise Compaore against an attempt to prolong his stay as president. He also confirmed that he helped to evacuate Mr Compaore during the uprising.He further said: "27 ans c'est beaucoup" This is a very fair assessment on the part of the French President.The problem is that France can see that 27 years is to much for Burkina-Faso, but not yet enough for any other one of her overseas territories-like the "kingdom" of Cameroon.
