Location: Foster City, CA

Rate: DOE

Duration: 6 mos, possible extension,

Interviewing: Phone then Face to face

 

Initially through 02/17/2016 as it is replacing a current contractor. Possible extension.

Interview timeline and process

Phone screen followed by onsite interview  **Strong preference for local candidates

 

Must have skills               

Manager is looking for someone to have 4 out of the 6 things listed below:

1. Experience with Java web environments (Websphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat)  2. Experience with a scripting language (Perl, Python, bash)  3. Build and troubleshoot build issues in java applications  4. Advance knowledge with one or more build management tools (Anthill, BuildForge, CruiseControl, Bamboo, Hudson, etc.)  5. Exposure to CHEF (preferable) and Puppet  6. Experience with structured build files/tools (ant, Maven)

Nice to have skills           

Good written and oral communication skills.

Roles and responsibilities            

Assist in scheduling and implementing changes to the build / release / version-control processes required to enforce and apply build and release engineering best practices. Responsible for working with Security, Operations, Development Operations, and other teams to understand changes to the existing production environment on an ongoing basis and for environment support
